These grains are crucial sources of energy, they can lack the essential nutrients found in vegetables .
This project focuses on empowering rural families to grow vegetables like pumpkin and other nutrient-rich produce around their homes.
The distribution of seeds, the initiative aims to introduce more balanced diets into communities where agricultural practices have traditionally centered on grains.
The distribution was done in the following villages:
Gultare, Mohane, Surgana, Gunjala, Umbhune, Nadadgaon, Benshet, Shirsole Kharadbari.
The farming project not only improves nutrition but also provides economic benefits as surplus crops can be sold in local markets, adding to household income.
Partnership with Seva Social Welfare Foundation (SSWF), has launched a groundbreaking community farming initiative.
